Firstly, I placed black boxes using the 'rectangle tool'. These are a template for the layout of my magazine. I also added the picture that I have selected for my cover page. At the bottom of the page, I made a page number by copying my magazine's logo from the cover page and pasting it into a black box. I also wrote '02" next to it using the text tool.
I then pasted my logo onto the top of my page as this is a convention of music magazines. After that, I added text in the top right corner of the date, issue number and website address. This information is another convention of contents pages.
Next, I added text in the boxes on the right side of the page. This text is spilt into 2 sections which is a convention of music magazines: 'This week'-content specific for that week and 'In every issue'- content that is a regular feature.
After this, I placed a black circle on my image with a number 14 inside. This tells the reader what page the picture is related to. I also added an extra box below this picture. This included an advertisement for subscriptions and a image of my cover page.
In the blank space below the boxes on the left, I added a message from the editor which is another convention of contents pages. This gives a further insight as to what is inside the magazine. I also used the italics font to give a more literary feel to the text.
Finally, I added social media web addresses to the bottom of my page with a picture of the logo for each site.
