Conventions- Anchorage text

I will have anchorage text on my music magazine. This text will be on the lower right hand size of my music magazine, next to my central image. This will have celebrity names in big, bold, capital letters with why they are included in my magazine written in small letters below them. This is to attract attention to the celebrity names.

Conventions- Slogan

Another convention of magazines is a slogan. My magazine will have a slogan and this will be "The greatest pop magazine of all time!". I will have this slogan above my masthead. The slogan will make my magazine sound better than competitors. The slogan will be in a black text box with white text.

Conventions- Puffs

The puffs on the cover of my music magazine will include posters. This will appeal to the target audience of my music magazine due to the fact that these puffs are music related. I will have "Posters!" written in a text box above these as a buzz word to catch people's attention. A music magazine that I have researched ('Kerrang!') commonly has posters on the cover of its magazine.

Conventions-Price of my Music Magazine

The price of my music magazine will be £3:00 which is a similar price to some magazines that I have researched such as "NME" and "Rolling Stones". This is due to the fact that my music magazine will be geared towards the same target audience as both of these magazines (teenagers). I will display the price on my cover above the barcode as this is a convention of a music magazine.

Conventions-Masthead of my music magazine

The title of my music magazine will be the word "Tune". This is due to the fact that this is a short and snappy word that is associated with the pop genre. The "n" in the word will also be a musical note (quaver) to further connect my title with music. The font size of my masthead will be big to therefore be eye-catching to a potential audience. The colour will be black to contrast against the white background of my magazine. The title will look similar to this:
